Ajowan/Ajwain in the pressure cooker

It occurred to me that ajowan might work as a thyme replacement in the pressure cooker since herbs and spices tend to lose some of their flavor when used there. So I made some brown rice.

3/4 cup brown rice
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon ajowan
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
2 bay leaves
1 1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon oil

Cooked it at high pressure for 25 minutes using the bain marie method; in a metal bowl on the trivet with a couple of cups of water around it.

Quite nice. The ajowan flavor is there, but not too strong.
